First Malawi Trip is Big Success!

We were delighted to report that the Malawi Trip was a great success back in July.

The focus of the trip for students and staff was the time they spend in Blantyre visiting the Open Arms Orphanage, which gives a home to children who've lost their parents to AIDS.

The group also visited Sekwe House, the foster home run by Open Arms that QES will now be sponsoring as part of an on-going project called Friends of Sekwe House.

Later, on safari, the group also got to see lots of animals including hippo, elephants, crocodiles. But their sleep at the safari camp was disturbed because there was an elephant wandering through the camp!

They finished the trip by spending some time on Lake Malawi canoeing, snorkelling and relaxing.
