Indigo School Projects

Radio Produced by C&M Diploma Students in the South Lakes

Arts Awareness Campaign

Many thanks to all the local people who helped the students make their radio packages - especially those who agreed to be interviewed on the streets of Kirkby Lonsdale! And particular thanks to Indigo's Paul Broadbent for all this support and guidance during this project.

Indigo 106.6 FM has given some school students the chance to make their first radio programmes.

These students are all doing a new GCSE-level course called a Creative & Media Diploma, which is on offer to schools across the South Lakes.

Diploma courses are designed to enable students to extend their learning beyond the classroom by working with professional partners.

Indigo asked the students to make a campaign to raise awareness about arts events & activities in the local area.

Please use the links on the right to listen to their projects - and offer your feedback, if you can spare a minute to do an online survey!

These packages will be broadcast at 6pm on Monday, 22 March 2010.
